Smoke ventilation in award-wining Brutalist architecture
1
Overview

The opportunity to be involved from an early stage in the conversion of this iconic building meant we were able to develop a highly efficient yet sympathetic solution that respects the Brutalist architecture while also enhancing environments within these interesting homes.

The high-performance vents offer assurance that crucial escape routes can be ventilated quickly and effectively in an emergency, protecting the occupants and also preserving the fabric of the building itself.

Triple glazing aids with ADL Thermal regulation compliance and results in reduced costs for residents. The vents also double as roof access hatches for convenient maintenance while the thoughtful design allows more natural light and ventilation to enter the buildings for improved ambience in this unique development, which has since scooped a raft of industry awards.
