Fire performance classification and certification relate to the tested Sertus SLD assembly and not to ShaftPanel™ as a standalone product. Refer to the SLD Technical Data Sheet for further information.
ShaftPanel™ accommodates construction tolerances in solid construction smoke shafts, providing the precise aperture required for installation of the Sertus Shaft Louvre Damper (SLD). This helps reduce remedial works and simplifies on-site coordination.
ShaftPanel™ accommodates up to 40 mm overall construction tolerance.
Yes. The pre-assembled temporary infill panel provides fall protection during construction, subject to the tested installation arrangement.
Smoke shafts should be air leakage tested before the SLD is installed. ShaftPanel™ features a temporary infill with an integrated rubber seal, removing the need to seal damper openings with temporary materials. Tested to BS EN 1026:2016, the infill has a known leakage rate, allowing contractors to account for this when assessing overall shaft leakage.
ShaftPanel™ has been developed and tested specifically for use with the Sertus Shaft Louvre Damper (SLD).
Yes. ShaftPanel™ includes provision for SLD supply cables to be installed during first fix, ahead of final damper installation.
ShaftPanel™ is designed for installation into solid construction smoke shafts, with a C-stud and plasterboard lining forming part of the installation arrangement. Refer to the Sertus technical installation guidance for the required lining specification and installation details.
No. ShaftPanel™ has been fire tested with the Sertus SLD without a finished wall. This gives building designers flexibility to specify the final wall finish without affecting the tested arrangement, provided the installation follows the approved technical details.
No. ShaftPanel™ is supplied with precise internal dimensions to accommodate the Sertus SLD, eliminating the need for additional internal lining before damper installation.
