In 2019, Jaguar Land Rover embarked on the construction of a state-of-the-art showroom in London. Given the large floor space and sophisticated design, the project presented a complex and time-sensitive challenge to ensure fire safety compliance. The firefighters' core required a robust mechanical smoke ventilation system to safeguard the high-value vehicles and the building’s occupants. As the selected manufacturer, we collaborated closely with the main contractor and the smoke ventilation installation contractor, to deliver a best-in-class solution.
Sertus provided a comprehensive mechanical smoke ventilation system tailored to the unique needs of the Jaguar Land Rover showroom. We supplied Shaft Louvre Dampers and a Roof Mechanical Pod, both designed to meet stringent safety standards. The Shaft Louvre Dampers are engineered to enhance smoke control in multi-zone systems with a robust fire resistance class and high operational reliability. The Roof Mechanical Pod, with its prefabricated and pre-commissioned design, guarantees efficient smoke extraction and provides additional environmental ventilation if needed.
The Shaft Louvre Dampers are certified to BS EN 12101-8:2011 and EN 13501-4:2016, featuring a fire resistance class of EIS 120 and tested reliability for up to 10,000 cycles. They are designed for easy maintenance with a removable white linear grill and offer effective smoke control across multiple compartments. The Sertus Pod Original is certified to BS EN 12101-3:2015, available in various sizes with guaranteed extract rates, and features a modular design for quick installation and integration.
