Meet Richard (or Rick), our Commercial Director with a strong focus on R&D. Rick is dedicated to driving innovation and ensuring Sertus stays at the forefront of the smoke ventilation industry. Outside of work, you’ll often find him relaxing by his fire pit at home – an apt choice for someone so passionate about managing smoke!

As one of Sertus’ original founders, Ben’s builder’s mindset and hands-on experience have left an indelible imprint across the entire business. While no longer involved in day-to-day operations, his influence is felt across the company, from the boardroom to the production line.

Steve ensures Sertus’ products, systems, and certifications are of the highest standard. A lifelong engineer with a passion for innovation, his dedication drives the continuous improvement of Sertus’ offerings. When Steve’s not busy working on the next big idea, he enjoys spending time with his family, exploring classic cars, or indulging his passion for aircraft.

Daryl is the backbone of Sertus’ operations, driving customer satisfaction through efficient project delivery and operational excellence. Dedicated to creating positive experiences for customers, Daryl applies the same commitment to his personal projects – currently building his own house in his spare time.

Orwin is our Sales Manager, leading the sales team and overseeing key client relationships. With extensive expertise in smoke ventilation, he ensures tailored solutions and exceptional service for every client. Outside of work, Orwin enjoys photography and has a passion for falconry.

Brad fosters key relationships with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure Sertus products are specified early in project planning. When he’s not driving industry growth, he’s cheering on Arsenal or collecting Magic: The Gathering cards.

Katy is the Sertus brand guardian, overseeing all graphic design and branding to ensure every visual element is on point. With her keen eye for detail, if it looks good, it’s been through Katy’s hands. Outside of work, Katy enjoys watching Chelsea FC Women, kayaking along the River Wey in the summer, and attending live music events.

Meet Hilary, who wears two hats in our business, expertly managing both accounts payable and HR. From paying the bills to keeping the team organised, she ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Known for her sharp eye, Hilary is also the unofficial spelling checker-in-chief.

Mandy manages the accounts receivable with precision, ensuring the numbers always add up and everything runs smoothly. In a past life, Mandy was a dolphin trainer – a unique skillset that adds to her calm and focused nature. Outside of work, Mandy is also a keen gardener and enjoys spending time outdoors.

As our Operations & Buying Manager, Ashley ensures everything runs smoothly – from warehouse operations to procurement. Whether it’s overseeing daily workflows or managing supply chains, Ashley keeps things flowing productively and efficiently!

Hedley ensures the warehouse runs smoothly, coordinating operations to get orders out on time. A vital part of Sertus’ commitment to reliable delivery, Hedley’s passion for motorbikes keeps him busy when he’s not at work.

Russell plays a key role in assembling Sertus’ product range, ensuring every unit meets the highest standards. When he’s not keeping the production line running efficiently, Russell enjoys racing pigeons – a hobby he’s truly passionate about.

Working closely with Russell, Darren ensures products are assembled and dispatched efficiently, supporting Sertus’ commitment to quality and reliability. Outside of work, Darren enjoys gaming and exploring his creative side through 3D printing.

Living locally to our HQ in Cranleigh, Surrey, Michael – affectionately known as “Jack Daniels” by the team – builds our products and ensures they are packed and dispatched efficiently.

Richard plays a vital role in Sertus’ production line, ensuring quality and efficiency. Outside of work, he’s a passionate musician, having spent 15 years as a bass guitarist and vocalist in a band. Richard is also a dedicated runner, with plans to take on ultramarathons this year.

Aron oversees system design, product estimating, and schematic drawings, making him an integral part of Sertus’ technical team. Outside of work, Aron enjoys spending time at the beach and working on side projects.

Franz supports the technical team by managing system designs, schematics, and estimates. With a background in mechanical engineering, he ensures Sertus delivers precise and reliable solutions. In his spare time, Franz enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes.

Simon brings extensive financial expertise to Sertus, overseeing key financial tasks including budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial strategy. As a Non-Executive Finance Director, he ensures the company’s financial health and long-term stability. A lifelong supporter of Watford FC, Simon also enjoys long walks in the Surrey Hills near his home in Dorking.
