1
Initial Brief

As providers of tested and certified smoke ventilation equipment, Sertus were approached to deliver the smoke ventilation package at Lily's Walk.

2
Challenges

Initially, the scope of the project had window motors fitted to PVC windows to provide automatic opening vents. However, as there are a number of significant practical and compliance issues with this method of ventilation, Sertus worked closely with the architect and main contractor to propose an alternative solution.

3
Outcome

As a result, the design of the building was changed to suit the Sertus Facade Single Leaf Product which is tested and certified to BS EN 12101-2. The residents of this flagship development can be fully confident that the smoke ventilation system installed meets all the necessary compliance criteria.
