FAQ

Choose a category
Is the ladder lockable in its closed position?

No, the ladder itself is not lockable in the closed position. If a trapdoor is included, it can be lockable or electronically secured, but access to the lock must be considered.

Do you offer removable ladders?

We don’t supply removable ladders at the moment.

What angle should the ladder be set at?

We recommend setting the ladder at approximately 20 degrees, though this may vary slightly depending on the height range of the units.

What is the minimum clearance between the ladder and the ceiling?

Our minimum dimensions are for the ladder to function properly. However, the clearance for an operative to pass through depends on a site-specific risk assessment and the intended purpose and frequency of use.

What is the maximum height from the top of the ladder to the opening?

We recommend that the distance does not exceed 250-300mm.

Can the angle of the ladder be changed to avoid clashing when extended?

No, the ladder’s angle cannot be adjusted. If clashing occurs, we recommend using fixed vertical ladders, which we don’t supply.
