Initial Brief

Sertus were asked to work closely with the Ark M&E. Of particular importance to the client was to ensure that fully compliant products were used within their smoke ventilation system, especially our EN 12101-8 smoke dampers. View these here.

Challenges

To ensure that the project programme was adhered to, Sertus applied Lean manufacturing principles and came up with some unique efficiencies, for example combining the smoke damper and the environmental damper in one housing to reduce installation time on site, and to reduce the amount of builders' work for the client.

Outcome

This project is a large phased scheme over 4 blocks and was finalised in 2021. Sertus manufactured & supplied products swiftly and efficiently, allowing this project to be completed well on time.
